[Look] LOUIS VUITTON presents Pharrell Williams' Spring/Summer 2026 men's collection in Paris.
On June 25, 2025 (Japan time), LOUIS VUITTON unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 men's collection, designed by men's creative director Pharrell Williams. Titled "Paris to India," this season draws inspiration from contemporary Indian sartorialism, embodying a world where city and nature, tradition and modernity resonate together.
The Pompidou Centre, the setting for the film, features a set supervised by the up-and-coming architectural unit Studio Mumbai, which harmonizes beautifully with Pharrell's worldview. At its center is a life-sized replica of the ancient Indian board game "Snake & Ladder," serving as a metaphor for challenge and possibility.
A sense of dandyism, imbued with a sun-drenched feel, permeated the space. The faded fabrics, as if worn for years, and the textures that breathed new life into stripes and checks, exuded a poetic charm. The colors were inspired by the unique nature and streetscapes of India, with purple replacing black, and pale colors that seemed to have faded in the sunlight, creating a gentle visual experience.
Furthermore, this season's collection features a fresh and appealing collaboration between LOUIS VUITTON and the film "The Darjeeling Limited." The film motif, which originated in 2007, has been incorporated into fashion for the first time, adding a touch of glamour to bags and apparel. At the same time, the tailoring remains soft and natural. Relaxed layering is incorporated into jackets, vests, and shirts, creating a harmonious blend of body-hugging comfort and unpretentious elegance.
For denim, a new brown reminiscent of coffee beans is offered. This color is not achieved by dyeing afterwards, but by employing a special technique in the weave itself, so that white threads appear as you wear it, allowing you to enjoy the deepening texture over time. Furthermore, the leather and materials exude Pharrell's characteristic suppleness, and the Speedy P9 bag and the new "LV BUTTERSOFT" sneakers are softly wrapped in luxurious exotic leather.
Furthermore, the meticulous craftsmanship is not to be missed. The sets, adorned with micro-beads and delicate hand-embroidered details, exude a presence reminiscent of fine jewelry. And the aged, hand-drawn-style logos and archival-inspired stripes give the collection a nostalgic charm.
The bags feature motifs from "The Darjeeling Limited" and are adorned with magnificent decorations inspired by Gaston-Louis Vuitton's antiques, offering a wide variety of designs. Furthermore, the collection boasts an unprecedented array of styles, including new Speedy P9 models in pale-colored ostrich and crocodile leather, scarf patterns, and designs incorporating the "Tree of Life."
The shoes emphasize a worn-in look, with styles ranging from jazz shoes and chunky LV Flips to light and airy LV Bubble Derbys. The "LV x Darjeeling Limited" motif is subtly incorporated into hiking boots and sneakers. Hats and socks exude playfulness and a handcrafted feel, while chain belts adorned with semi-precious stones and LV frog buckles radiate a memorable sparkle. The jewelry features guilloché and filigree work, and the bangles and anklets, encased in silver and gold, embody Pharrell's signature delicate touch.
The sunglasses feature metal horns inspired by trunks, adding a subtle touch of brilliance. The music that graced the finale was an original soundtrack produced by Pharrell. From the majestic "Miracle Worker" by Voices of Fire and l'Orchestre du Pont Neuf, to "Yaara Punjabi" co-written with AR Rahman, to "So Be It Pt. II" by CLIPSE, and "Get Right" by Dorchy and Tyler, the Creator, the unfolds into an epic narrative where culture and connections intersect. This collection powerfully embodies the spirit of the "traveling maison," which is the very essence of Louis Vuitton.
