JM WESTON season has arrived again at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building ! -- The popular "WESTON VINTAGE" pop-up Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building is being held for the fifth consecutive year.
This year, in addition to approximately 500 pairs of "Weston Vintage" shoes, the lineup also includes cordovan made-to-order shoes and limited edition models using the highly sought-after "Russian Finish Calf" leather!

Joining the GUIDE crew of "Adults' Social Studies Field Trip" and Yuhi Ozaki, designer of SUN/kakke, "the man to know when it comes to Weston," a true men's shoe buyer will share the full story.

What are the highlights of this pop-up event? What are the three people's top picks?

"Weston Vintage" This time around, we've prepared a lineup of popular models with a wider range of sizes to suit Japanese feet!

The "Weston Vintage" shoes, reborn after being repaired, are rare shoes that are not usually sold. At this year's pop-up, you can find rare items with unique specifications, but we also have plenty of classic models such as the "#180 Signature Loafer," which is synonymous with JM WESTON .


For example , there are items in excellent condition that can only be found at "Weston Vintage," such as the triple-soled "#180 Signature Loafers" and the "#641 Golf" with a storm welt, leather sole, and toe steel.

Ozaki: Personally, I really like the "vintage feel" that comes from the leather being worn and starting to get stiff, but the contrast with the shiny soles is also a great appeal.


Kagami: One of the appealing aspects of Weston Vintage is that the outsoles are replaced with original parts at the workshop in Limoges.
This time, in addition to popular models, we'll also have rare items such as women's sizes, rubber-soled versions of the "#598 Half Hunt," and tassels that aren't widely available. Everything is one-of-a-kind, so please don't be misled by the size labels and be sure to try them on before purchasing.

Introducing the "#180 Signature Loafers" and "#641 Golf" models, which luxuriously utilize cordovan leather, often called the "diamond of leathers" due to its undeniable durability and fine, lustrous texture.


I believe Mr. Tashiro Ozaki owns the cordovan "#180 Signature Loafers," right?

Kagami: This year, in addition to the usual two colors, black and burgundy, we've had two new colors made: tan brown and khaki.

Limited Menu Item 2: Kagami Buyer's Top Pick, "Russian Finish Calf" is now available!

Kagami: At last year's pop-up, we received so many requests for "Russian finish calfskin," and we realized how many people were looking for it, so for this pop-up, we went all the way to France and pleaded with them to make it available.
We don't know if we'll be able to do it next year, so we'd really appreciate it if you could come and see it.

Kagami: This time, we have three models: "#180 Signature Loafers," "#641 Golf," and "#690 Yacht." The colors are black and tan brown, but the Russian finish calf leather for the "#180 Signature Loafers" is a model that does not exist in JM WESTON 's ready-made product line.

Ozaki: Compared to the box calf shoes I'm wearing today, the Russian finish calf leather is slightly more matte and a bit brighter in color. The leather also has a slightly chewy texture.


Kagami Russian Finish Calfskin is a leather with a high oil content, but it's a signature leather for JM WESTON , so please try wearing it at least once.

For Tsuchiya, who loves loafers, there's a black pair of Russian-finish calf loafers, and another pair!

Kagami has been wearing her loafers since she bought them last year, and they've already developed a look that makes them seem like she's been wearing them for about 10 years. To cherish them, I recommend Tsuchiya-san a second pair of loafers in black Russian finish calfskin. For the other pair, I recommend the "#690 Yacht" in black Russian finish calfskin.

I really wanted a Tsuchiya yacht!

I think black is the best color for the mirror as it goes well with many different outfits. It looks great with jeans and suits Tsuchiya's character too.


Ozaki: When wearing the "#690 Yacht" shoes, I think they go well with a slightly vintage outdoor-style outer garment, or with a jacket and trousers style that includes tweed.

Tashiro recalls his time as an assistant buyer for men's shoes!

Mr. Tashiro Kagami will be wearing the "#641 Golf" in tan brown, made from Russian-finished calf leather. I believe the "#641 Golf" from when Mr. Tashiro was in charge of men's shoes was made from this very same Russian-finished calf leather in tan brown!


I was an assistant buyer when Isetan Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building introduced JM WESTON ! This "#641 Golf" has a nice, small face.

When the toe of the bent-over shoes is extended, they have an American feel, while the tan brown "#641 Golf" is elegant.
This Russian-finished calf leather is also available for custom orders. The "#180 Signature Loafers" are priced at 187,000 yen (tax included), the Golf model at 209,000 yen, and the Yacht model at 198,000 yen, with delivery expected around March 2026.


Compared to Mr. Tashiro Ozaki 's (left in the image) "#641 Golf" in box calf leather in tan brown, the Russian finish calf leather (right in the image) is a lighter, more yellowish shade of tan brown.

"Weston expert" Ozaki-san is doing it himself. So, what will he choose?

I love JM WESTON and own many items, but the one I've chosen this time is the "#180 Signature Loafer" in tan brown, made from Russian finish calf leather, a material that "didn't exist before."


What do you think of wearing Tashiro shoes ?

This is my first time trying on the Ozaki Russian Finish Calf "#180 Signature Loafers," and the feel is quite different from regular box calf. They're incredibly soft.

When you touch the mirror , the leather feels soft and supple.


Tashiro is chewy, yet it has a great sense of depth, doesn't it?

Ozaki cordovan has a "soft and pliable" feel, but Russian finish calf feels "thin even though the leather isn't thin."

Because it contains a high amount of mirror oil, it will become even shinier the more you wear it.
