This time, the three members of the "Adults' Field Trip" crew visited " keylime Tokyo ," a concept store created in Tokyo by Junpei Seki, who works as a "fashion improver" based in Paris, France.

Tsuchiya is currently obsessed with denim, but how can she achieve a sophisticated look with a denim set-up style?

"She has a great vibe and gives off a stylish impression." Seki is a fashion expert with an effortless, natural air about her, and she works as an improver.
The problem Tsuchiya confided in Seki was, "My current obsession is denim, but I tend to wear knitwear or similar items under my denim jackets, so I want to make my denim look more 'effortless'."

Seki-san explained, "A denim outfit like today's is simple and cool, but if you wear a T-shirt or sweatshirt underneath, it ends up looking too American casual..." and then went on to offer his interpretation.





Furthermore, Seki said, "Pairing a shirt under denim makes a rough denim jacket look cleaner, giving it a more sophisticated feel," and the shirt Tsuchiya chose was a brightly striped one.





Seki: "If I had to recommend something today, it would be this striped shirt made of a more sophisticated cotton-linen blend."

Tsuchiya: "I would never wear a worn-out shirt myself, so it makes me feel like I'm looking a little different than usual."

Seki: "This fabric has a crisp, firm texture and a slightly wrinkled feel, which gives it a three-dimensional look, so when paired with a denim set-up, it creates a sophisticated, effortless look."


Tsuchiya headed to keylime Tokyo's "fitting room = sophisticated box" and asked, "Please teach me how to wear this shirt!"



Tsuchiya came out with his shirt neatly tucked into his denim pants, and we gave him a lesson on how to achieve that "one-hour relaxed look": "When you tuck in your shirt, if you raise both arms and then lower them, it immediately looks like you've had it tucked in for about an hour."

For those who want a relaxed, worn-in denim look, jeans designed for people who don't usually wear jeans are a great choice!

Keylime Tokyo offers a wide variety of shirts, denim, and leather shoes. When asked about wanting "denim pants that I don't usually wear," Fushinuki first chose a pair of non-washed denim jeans.
However, Seki says, "Non-washed jeans are also called 'shrink-to-fit,' and they shrink by about 2 inches when washed, so they're for advanced users."



So, the item I chose for the Fushigiri line was the "keylime Tokyo Special Edition," a pair of jeans from the women's brand Obrada that has been specially tailored for men for keylime Tokyo.






After changing in the fitting room, Fushinuki was delighted, saying, "The tapered silhouette is neat and fits nicely."


Furthermore, in response to the question, "How can I make it look a little more sophisticated?", the advice was, "You can add a sophisticated touch by folding up the hem a little or shortening it slightly."

Tashiro's style is still a bit rough around the edges, so let's improve it by adding some color!

Now, Seki-san said to Tashiro, "You've pretty much got the hang of it, so just one more thing..." and recommended colored socks. "Tashiro-san's styling today is in blue tones, so if you wear blue socks, you'll look quite stylish," said Seki-san, who lives in Paris.



Furthermore, a stylish leather tote bag in a beautiful color adds a touch of sophistication to Tashiro's French-style look of a navy jacket, shirt, and jeans.





Seki: "It's difficult to incorporate a bright color like this orange into clothing, but it's surprisingly easy to do with a bag."

Tashiro: "With clothes, you might think, 'Isn't this a bit over the top?' So, you deliberately add color with a bag to give it a more sophisticated look."

Seki: "Finding what that person is lacking—that 'skill'—is also part of the improver's job."
