The Hermès Men's limited-time boutique, where even the long lines before opening have become a regular occurrence, has opened again this season on the 1st floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building at The Stage. Titled "Vibrations élégantes," this season's collection expresses Hermès' annual theme of "lighter" with a pop and bright color palette and warm materials, mainly featuring the latest ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, and scarves from the 2022 Autumn/Winter collection. Popular jewelry and fashion accessories are also on display, making it a magnificent showcase as expected.
This season's Hermès menswear collection captivates with its fusion of contrasting elements, such as the first look in the runway show featuring outerwear combining luxurious, long-haired sheepskin with light, breezy technical fabrics. The beautiful and delicate color palette, including iconic orange pop, lettuce green, and frosted blue (glacier red), is eye-catching, but the "lightness" characteristic of Hermès isn't just in the use of color and materials. Whether you're enjoying a cozy cozy stay indoors or daring to venture out into the chilly air, the vibrant, comfortable, and warm wardrobe makes you feel positive, happy, and "light" just by wearing it.
From ready-to-wear to accessories and jewelry, this special space brings together a curated selection of products from various categories of Hermès menswear, and it's the only pop-up boutique of its kind in Japan. Pay attention to the sophisticated selection, characteristic of Isetan Menswear, as well as the interior decor and window displays designed exclusively for this boutique.
Titled "Vibrations élégantes," this limited-time boutique expresses the worldview that resonated with the Fall/Winter 2022 runway show. The theme, as the name suggests, is "elegant shimmer." The show was directed by Cyril Teste, a renowned stage director who has consistently worked on Hermès shows, and the venue was the Mobilier National, which manages and restores furniture and furnishings owned by the French government. It is truly a place where the history of French creation is condensed.
The show focused on traditional tapestries from the Mobilier National collection, but instead of showcasing the tapestries themselves, it used digital rendering to represent the changing colors and patterns of the tapestries over time. Abstract colors and patterns were projected onto a wall screen, shimmering in time with the models' walk.

Based on this, the store incorporates the same concept, including using footage from the runway show inside the store. Various parts of the walls feature layered 3D renderings and honeycomb aluminum, creating decorations that resemble paintings reflected on water and appear to shimmer depending on the viewing angle. This digital expression harmonizes with wood panels that seem to digitize the "shimmering" effect. This perfectly synchronizes with this season's creations, which bring innovation through the fusion of seemingly contradictory elements. Furthermore, the runway show footage can be enjoyed at any time on the wall monitors.
Here lies the present state of a top fashion house, one that continues to innovate by fusing seemingly contradictory elements.
In the ready-to-wear collection designed by Véronique Nichanian, the artistic director of the men's division, the outerwear that appeared as the first look of the show is definitely worth paying attention to. The frosted blue outer shell is made of an astonishingly lightweight technical fabric, and the curly, long-haired, warm sheepskin liner can be worn separately.
Furthermore, this vest, made with glittering metallic thread, achieves an exquisite three-dimensional effect, rich nuance, and artistic depth by applying a print to the flocked metallic thread.
This scarf, featuring a woven pattern that blends classic cable knitting with the "Chaine d'Ancre," one of Hermès' signature jewelry pieces, subtly showcases the brand's distinctive style. Enjoy its enchanting warmth along with its elegant and sophisticated color variations.
First and foremost, a must-have shoe is the "Fresh" short boot, featuring a lightweight parachute material upper. This boot offers a sporty, outdoor feel, stable comfort, and a light, airy feel. The "Fiacre" ankle boot, with its "Kelly" buckle fastening above the laces, is the epitome of Hermès' classic modern style. By incorporating the same iconic motif as the "Chaine d'Ancre," it retains the reassuring familiarity and elegance of a traditional classic while being elevated into a truly special item.
One of the biggest features of this season's collection is the even wider selection of colorful and playful scarves, mufflers, and ties that will greatly liven up men's autumn and winter outfits, which tend to be dark and plain. They are sure to be a great addition to your everyday wardrobe, as well as for special occasions such as parties. With a rich lineup including timeless accessories, it's also a great place to look for gifts.
Most of the products featured here possess a chic, traditional menswear-like appearance, yet they incorporate a unique twist in silhouette, details, motifs, and color schemes, resulting in fresh and contemporary items. Consequently, each piece is imbued with the "Hermès-ness"—a combination of timeless classicism and distinctive design.
