DATE the leading Italian shoemaker and a leading contender for the next big sneaker trend, will unveil its Fall/Winter collection in Japan ahead of other countries. From Wednesday, September 7th to Tuesday, September 20th, the men's shoe section on the first basement floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , will feature a wide range of models, including the iconic "FUGA" and "LEVANTE," which is only released in the men's collection.

DATE is an Italian shoemaker founded in 2005. The brand name comes from the first letters of the names of the four founding members. The four, who had all followed different career paths, met in London, England, the mecca of shoemaking. They collected old machinery from various places, set up a makeshift workshop in their garage, and every night after work they would gather there to make sneakers.

A major turning point came in January 2006 at Pitti Immagine Uomo, held in Florence, Italy. The event generated a huge response, with over 8,000 orders placed during the three-day exhibition. This news became a hot topic in Italy at the time, and subsequently, a flagship store opened in Milan in 2017. Currently, the brand is sold in various department stores and select shops both domestically and internationally.

In Japan, the brand has caught the eye of famous stylists and is gaining support from fashion-conscious individuals, leading to a rise in recognition and popularity. While positioned as a premium Italian-made sneaker, its appeal lies in its clean image, which is unlike that of other brands.

This pop-up store will feature the debut of the men's collection, making its first appearance in Japan. The lineup includes the iconic "FUGA" model, "LEVANTE" (which is only available in the men's collection), the "COURT" with its fun color palette, and the next icon "VETTA." In addition, a pop-up shop will be held simultaneously on the 2nd floor of the main building in the women's shoe section.
