It is a new composite material that coats a textile woven with "carbon fiber," an advanced material used in luxury cars and the aerospace industry, and "aramid fiber," a tough material used in bulletproof vests, with "Fortimo®," a new urethane material developed by Mitsui Chemicals.

While carbon fiber is generally perceived as a hard material, Mitsui Chemicals' materials technology and tactile development incorporating Kansei Engineering have resulted in a moist and smooth texture. The leather goods from Andcol, which we are introducing today, were created using this new material.
