There are many coat-specializing brands that fashion enthusiasts eventually discover, but one Japanese brand that has consistently been mentioned in recent years is COHERENCE, a coat brand created by designer Kentaro Nakagomi.

From March 23rd (Wed) to April 5th (Tue), the Coherence Fair will be held at the Men's Tailored Clothing section on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . A wide range of items, including coats, jackets, and trousers, that are not usually available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will be on display.

Coherence, founded in 2015 by Mr. Nakagomi, who honed his fashion skills in Europe, is a relatively young brand, but it has gained high praise from connoisseurs around the world thanks to its uniquely developed Japanese materials and meticulous sewing techniques.

These beautifully simple outerwear pieces, a testament to their uncompromising craftsmanship, draw inspiration from the wardrobes of philosophers, artists, and writers who shaped history, offering "authentic" items for the present day. This fair will primarily feature meticulously crafted jackets from brands such as "GIANNI" and "BIRKS," perfect for light and breezy spring and summer outfits.

The "GIANNI" model is inspired by a short jacket worn in a candid photo taken on a film set in 1960. In addition to its distinctive watch pocket and concealed placket, it features a yoke sleeve where the cape and sleeves are integrated, a style often seen on military coats. The model name "GIANNI" comes from the name of the main character in the film being shot at the time of the candid photo.

The "BIRKS" jacket was inspired by a sports jacket worn in a snapshot taken in 1940. It features a waist tab that accents the zip front and gusseted waist pockets.
