Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 5th floor, Order Shirts will be hosting a bespoke shirt ordering event on February 19th (Sat) and February 20th (Sun) featuring YAMAGAMI Masanori, a brand created by Masanori Yamagami, known as one of the leading bespoke shirt craftsmen in Japan.

Masanori Yamagami has worked for many years as a bespoke shirtmaker at a certain select shop, tailoring shirts for numerous customers. From the perspective that "shirts should be worn with suits," he not only taught himself shirtmaking but also suit making and construction, establishing his own original tailoring style through his self-developed pattern-making methods and sewing techniques.
The shirts he tailors are designed to be worn under a suit, and their beautiful, light, and comfortable feel, often described as "like a celestial robe," has captivated many repeat customers.

During this special order event, you can order a custom-made shirt from Mr. Yamagami, who normally only offers shirts to paid members, without paying the membership fee. During the fitting, more than 20 measurements will be taken, including your neck and shoulder width, to ensure a neat and beautiful look even under a jacket. The shirt will be tailored to each individual, taking into account not only your bone structure and build, but also your posture habits, resulting in a garment that fits so well you'll forget you're wearing it.

Another detail you should definitely pay attention to is how the buttons are sewn on. Instead of the usual cross stitch, a technique called "bird's foot" is used to make them easier to fasten at an angle. The "root wrapping," which creates a space between the button and the fabric, is also adjusted to the millimeter depending on the button's position, showcasing Mr. Yamagami's meticulous attention to detail.

For custom-made fabrics, we recommend the 100% linen fabric from "Hayashi-yo," a company that has been weaving linen for over 120 years, spanning four generations since its founding in 1897 as a weaver of Omi Jofu linen. You can enjoy the unique texture and crispness created by the fine wrinkles produced by hand-rubbing, as well as the rich variety of colors and patterns and refreshing feel.

For this order event, Mr. Yamagami will handle customer service, take measurements, and create patterns. Cutting and sewing will be done by craftsmen at one of Japan's leading factories, endorsed by Mr. Yamagami himself. Currently, Yamagami Masanori does not have a physical store, so this is the only opportunity to place an order, so don't miss it.
