This series features contemporary art that reflects the current era, with contemporary art pieces curated by CADAN appearing on four floors of the Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Each floor will feature a cubic exhibition space called SI (Store Identity) with a special installation tailored to the floor's theme.

Motomasa Suzuki (Affiliated gallery: Takuro Someya Contemporary Art)
Motomasa Suzuki, "World is Yours" (2010)
Suzuki constructs and reconstructs numerous wooden boxes, signs of some kind, and parts of landscapes that seem familiar yet unfamiliar. The subjects Suzuki deals with are things that we understand to be part of our daily lives, but in reality, we only understand them through our senses. In an age where an infinite number of images can be easily obtained from the cloud on the internet, Suzuki himself selects each image with his own eyes and slowly transforms them into wood carvings. In this process, he feels his own limitations, but breaks through them and expands into an even more limitless world.
Hideki Iinuma (Affiliated gallery: SNOW Contemporary)
Iinuma's sculptures, carved from a single piece of wood, have a rough exterior that reveals the wood grain, yet they convey the authentic "present" of women living in the midst of modern consumer society.
*The exhibition will consist of five wood carvings of varying sizes, centered around the photographic artwork.
Tomoshi Kawada (Affiliated gallery: ARTCOURT Gallery)

When I was a student, I sometimes worked part-time at a department store, helping to change event spaces. While the store was decorated with glamorous spaces designed to entice customers, we moved to the back rooms. I remember feeling dizzy because it was a plain space with the same scenery no matter where you went. Naturally, there is no need for glamour in an efficient space that is only used to drop off goods and pass through. So this time, while revisiting that feeling from back then, I will present an installation that expresses the temptation and plainness of those everyday moments, with glamour entrusted to the motifs on the front and the structure of temporary walls on the back as a foundation.
Emi Otaguro (Affiliated gallery: KAYOKOYUKI)
Emi Otaguro, "Sun Bath" (2021), ceramic clay/variable size
This sculpture is made of ceramic, that is, clay. The act of creating the motif of gum, an artificial object, again using a material made from nature, is one idea that represents the relationship between nature and humanity, the contradictions and coexistence of the world, two points that lie on the same continuum and are both the furthest and quite close at the same time.
This exhibition will present an installation combining multiple ceramic works, arranged in a two-dimensional composition on a square display stand.
