Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 6F Men's Contemporary

SEVEN BY SEVEN , the brand created by Junya Kawakami, who has been traveling between San Francisco and Japan to buy vintage items, will be holding a pop-up shop at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , 6th floor, Men's Contemporary (*) from November 10th (Wed) to December 21st (Tue).

The "Reconstruction Collection," which treats vintage clothing as fabric and gives it new value, has been a core principle since the brand's inception and has come to align with contemporary sustainable thinking. This pop-up store will feature not only the "Homage Series" introduced this season, but also impactful archive items from the "Reconstruction Collection."

*From November 10th (Wed) to November 16th (Tue), the collection will be featured in the promotion space on the 6th floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , and from November 17th (Wed) to December 21st (Tue), it will be featured in the men's contemporary editorial area on the same 6th floor.

Designer Kawakami spent most of his twenties in San Francisco. With an area of 49 square miles, San Francisco fits within a 7-mile by 7-mile grid, which is why locals affectionately call it "SEVEN BY SEVEN (7x7)."

SEVEN BY SEVEN , which started in the Fall/Winter 2015 season and is named after the local area, develops collections each season by taking a variety of perspectives on materials and objects based on Mr. Kawakami's experiences at the time.

This pop-up will feature the "Homage Series" from the Fall/Winter 2021 collection, which expresses the brand's unique interpretation of "classic" styles using various materials, as well as artistic items from the brand's iconic "Reconstruction Collection."

One example is a blouson jacket that expresses Native American and Chimayo patterns by deconstructing vintage denim shirts and jeans and combining the finely cut parts. The deconstruction, cutting, and sewing are all done by hand, giving it a one-of-a-kind feel and an overwhelming presence. It's no exaggeration to say that this is a level of sophistication that only SEVEN BY SEVEN with its experience in reconstructing various items, could have reached.

During the event, a wide selection of impactful items from previous "reconstruction collections" will also be available. We hope you will enjoy these "special pieces" that you won't find anywhere else.
