Jean-Rousseau, a French luxury leather goods manufacturer specializing in watch straps, will be holding a fair at the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building, 5th Floor, Watch Department, from September 15th (Wednesday) to September 28th (Tuesday). New variations will be added to their lineup of custom-made watch straps, where customers can choose from various leather types and stitching details.

Joining Jean Rousseau's order lineup from September 25th (Saturday) is "Atlantis." This "Atlantis" is an evolution of the "water-repellent leather" that Jean Rousseau introduced in 2018, with enhanced water resistance.

Generally, leather belts are constructed by stitching together the outer leather, the lining that touches the skin, and the core material inside the belt. In typical products, all three elements are made of leather, or rubber is used for the lining to create sweat-resistant leather belts. However, "Atlantis" combines water-resistant materials for the core material and stitching as well, increasing the water resistance of not only the lining but the belt itself.

To coincide with the addition of "Atlantis" to the belt order lineup, Jean Rousseau's craftsmen will be giving demonstrations of watch strap making on September 25th (Sat) and 26th (Sun) during the event.
