Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Support Project: Sending a message through the Tokyo 2020 Games

Coubertin's vision for the Olympics was to "improve mind and body through sports, and furthermore, contribute to the realization of a peaceful and better world by transcending various differences such as culture and nationality, and fostering mutual understanding through the spirit of friendship, solidarity, and fair play." Starting July 21st (Wednesday), we will be selling JOC official licensed products, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Japan National Team official support goods TEAM RED COLLECTION, and JPC official licensed products, the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Japan National Team official support goods TEAM RED COLLECTION.

From Wednesday, July 21st to Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021, ASICS will be showcasing a message they want to convey through the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in the window display on the first floor of the main building. Stay tuned to see what message will be displayed!

The collaborations with artists are also a must-see. Rintaro Hara will present an installation on The Stage on the first floor of the main building, while yang02 and So Sugano will present an installation in the window on the first floor of the main building, available only during this period.

Additionally, The Stage on the first floor of the main building will feature special content, including an exhibition of calligraphy written by actress Tao Tsuchiya to support the New Year's celebration. Don't miss it!

JAPAN KEY GRAPHIC: A vibrant "Sunrise Red" inspired by the powerful energy of the rising sun.

JAPAN TEAM KEY GRAPHIC

This design approach expresses JAPONISM. The key color is a vibrant "Sunrise Red," inspired by the powerful image of the rising sun. This color was chosen to further enhance and highlight the presence of the Japanese national team, allowing the athletes to feel pride in representing Japan. In the graphics, traditional Japanese culture such as "origata" (paper folding) and "kasane no irome" (layered colors) are incorporated as design accents.

Furthermore, the graphic expresses diversity by combining various elements such as large and small dots and lines, and five shades of red, to create a single pattern. This graphic is called "JAPAN TEAM KEY GRAPHIC" and is used on T-shirts, polo shirts, windbreakers, and other items.
