Aēsop is launching a new collection of three eau de parfums called "Othertopias." They will be available from Monday, July 5th at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F Cosmetics, and the Mitsukoshi Isetan online store.

"Azath Pierce" was created in collaboration with perfumer Barnabe Fillion, a long-time partner in Aesop 's fragrance development. This collection, consisting of three fragrances—"Mirasetti Eau de Parfum," "Caste Eau de Parfum," and "Elemia Eau de Parfum"—was developed with the concept that "within one space, another space exists in contrast." It features unconventional scents that blur the boundaries between past and present, reality and unreality, this place and that place, inviting the wearer into a world where reality and imagination intersect.

The outer packaging of the 50mL glass bottle features unique artwork by Jack Coulter, a synesthetic artist based in Belfast, Ireland, so be sure to check that out as well.

"Mirasetti" is a fragrance inspired by a "ship." The calmness and fury of the sea, the raging waves, the horizon swinging like a pendulum, a peaceful yet isolated world. Its dignity, in a word, is in stark contrast to the inherent fragility and weakness of humanity.

The scent of seaweed, carried on the breeze, is combined with ambrette and benzoin to create a warm, woody, and delicate fragrance. Labdanum releases a scent reminiscent of ancient wood floating in seawater and a whiskey barrel storage room faintly scented with mash.

The subtle mineral notes of "Caste" evoke the image of the coast, sculpted by the seawater, the master of nature's forms. The ebb and flow of the tides create a world where the same thing is constantly repeated, like going in and out, or exhaling and inhaling, and where time has both the aspects of accumulation and fleeting moments.

A subtle aroma and fresh spice notes envelop the surroundings, while cumin and sandalwood evoke the salty, metallic scent of crashing waves on the shore.

Jeremiah represents a "land of desolation" beyond the coast. In this place shrouded in mist yet teeming with life, the fleeting traces of humanity are swept away by the whims of nature, and beings of all sizes are interconnected, engaging in inaudible exchanges. With notes of galbanum, iris, and yuzu, and a light, earthy citrus base, Jeremiah expresses a world where vibrant mosses and wildflowers coexist with damp concrete and stagnant civilization.
