Breguet introduces the sporty and modern chronograph model "Type XXI 3815"!
Known for its high level of technical expertise, which has produced complex mechanisms such as the "tourbillon," and for its iconic collections including the "Marine," Breguet also has deep ties to the aviation field. Louis-Charles Breguet, the fourth-generation descendant of Abraham-Louis Breguet, was one of the great pioneers of the aviation world and gained fame in the 1950s with his "Type XX" collection of aviation chronographs.
From this collection comes the sporty and modern new chronograph model, "Type XXI 3815." It will be available for purchase from 5 PM on Thursday, June 17th, at the Breguet Watches section on the 5th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Main Building.
The achievements of Louis-Charles Breguet, who created the "Type XX"
Inheriting the innovative spirit of his ancestors, Louis-Charles Breguet became one of the pioneers of French aviation, developing not only the gyroplane, the precursor to the helicopter, but also biplanes, seaplanes, jet fighters, and civilian aircraft, and establishing himself as a key figure in the field of aviation.
Having developed an interest in the world of aviation, he showed early interest in aviation watches, and the Maison supplied several watches to the U.S. Air Force from 1918 onwards, and also supplied watches to the Breguet Aircraft Company in 1922.
The watch company Breguet designed the first chronograph worn on the wrist as early as 1935, but about 20 years later, in response to a request from the French military, they began production of the legendary "Type XX" chronograph, which was used by the French Air Force and Naval Air until the early 1980s.

The new model "Type XXI 3815" will be released in a limited quantity of 250 units for each color!
The new "Type XXI 3815" model adopts a contemporary style, in contrast to the "Type XXI 3817" released in 2016 with its vintage style. It features a 42mm diameter case made of titanium, a material known for its durability and lightweight feel.
This new model features a case and band with intricate fluting for an easy grip, and its sporty style is further emphasized by features such as 10 ATM water resistance, a screw-down crown, and alternating polished and satin finishes. The bidirectional rotating bezel is also made of titanium, and the black lacquered 60-minute markings stand out against the titanium, giving it a modern look.

However, that's not the only difference from before. What you should pay attention to is the dial. The deep black dial is accented with vibrant colors, highlighting its modern personality and sporty feel. The numerals, indices, and hands are all generously coated with luminous paint.
Furthermore, it consists of only two sub-dials, with a 24-hour display at 3 o'clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. The chronograph's 60-minute counter is also positioned in the center of the dial, just like the 60-second counter. In addition, the new, precise minute track and the date display at 6 o'clock elevate the often rugged appearance of a pilot's watch to a more refined level.

An essential element of this collection is the mechanical self-winding movement, which features a flyback chronograph function and incorporates the brand's latest technologies, including a silicon escapement and balance spring manufactured by Breguet. The sapphire crystal case back allows you to see the movement in detail, and you can also admire the gold rotor, which has been specially finished for this limited edition model, so you can enjoy it even when you take the watch off.
The "Type XXI 3815" is a limited edition of 250 units in each color. We encourage you to see this special model, which boasts an even more contemporary and sporty look than before, in person.
