Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store's exclusive content "TradChannel" opens a limited-time physical shop specializing in Masterpiece.


The men's floor at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store will be opening a pop-up shop for a limited time based on "Trad Channel," their original content series broadcast on Instagram and YouTube, which features guests discussing traditional styles.

The event is divided into two parts, with each part offering a chance to see masterpieces from traditional brands loved across generations, as well as customization events by up-and-coming designers and young artists, providing a unique opportunity to acquire a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

First, in the first installment starting on Wednesday, February 17th, we will be featuring and introducing the masterpieces "Bean Boots" and "Bean Tote" from the American outdoor brandLLBean .
The customization options include leather shoe tassels and quilts from TAKAFUMI ARAI, allowing you to enjoy customizing your shoes by combining these items.
Furthermore, on February 20th (Sat), 21st (Sun), and 23rd (Tue/Holiday), Takafumi Arai, the designer of Takafumi Arai, will be visiting the store to hold demonstration events. You can see the item creation process firsthand.


In the second installment, starting on Wednesday, February 24th, we will be featuring J.PRESS , one of the brands that symbolizes American traditional style, and BARNSTOMER, which offers chinos that are of a quality comparable to American-made products and are made in Japan.

J. Press presents "blazers" and "oxford shirts" as the brand's masterpieces. They also sell deadstock patches and buttons from the brand, allowing you to customize your purchased items or items you already own.
Furthermore, Barnstormer offers their iconic "MACARTHUR2" model, as well as chinos made in a domestic factory using traditional slacks specifications. They propose the enjoyment of styling with a focus on sizing.

Furthermore, for customers who purchase our products, we will be holding a novelty gift and paint customization event on Saturday, February 27th, featuring Hikari Watanabe, the designer and illustrator of COTTONPAN. On Sunday, February 28th, we will be offering a portrait service by illustrator aki ishibashi, who is popular on social media.

She is the designer and illustrator for COTTONPAN. Their apparel collection, featuring T-shirts and other items printed with her illustrations, started in Spring/Summer 2019. Despite being a relatively new brand, her charming, relaxed, and laid-back illustrations have gained popularity.

Born in Kanagawa in 1986, she transforms everyday objects into a unique worldview through her own perspective, gaining popularity mainly on social media. In addition to her own solo exhibitions, she has expanded her activities to include design, workshops, the development of her original brand PARCY, collaborations with apparel brands, and artwork for magazines and advertisements.

We will be giving away portraits drawn for 12 lucky customers who follow the official Instagram account for Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store's men's clothing department ( @mensclothing_mitsukoshi ).

*You can book the portrait drawing service by Aki Ishibashi through the "Event Reservation" section in the Mitsukoshi Isetan app.
