The "ISETAN HOME HOTEL" event is being held at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F, from August 5th (Wed) to August 18th (Tue). Based on the concept of "making everyday time a little richer and more special," the event brings together products that enrich time spent at home. One day, model Shinobu visited the event. Shinobu, who has gained many admirers for her healthy charm and natural lifestyle, shares what small luxuries she feels in her current life. We introduce some of her special stories along with the items she actually selected at the venue.

I want to freely enjoy raising children, special occasions, and everything else in my daily life.

Shinobu's Instagram, where her cheerful smile is striking, offers a glimpse into a truly healthy lifestyle. She enjoys meals consisting of plates of side dishes made with plenty of seasonal vegetables and homemade sweets, and plays in the sun with her child and beloved dog. As a mother of one, she manages childcare and housework, while also leading a busy life as a fashion brand director and model, just as she herself says, "I love my work!"

"With childcare, housework, and work, the day seems to fly by. But even amidst all that, I try to find ways to enjoy myself freely without having to hold back. I love going out into nature and used to go on outings often, but since I've been spending more time at home due to COVID-19, I've started trying my hand at baking, something I never did before. I often make oatmeal cookies and energy balls as treats for my children and dog. When it comes to beauty, external care is important, but I believe internal care is just as crucial. I actively incorporate fermented foods into my diet, and I even dried plums this morning."

Shinobu's healthy appeal is underpinned by her diet. She says that since having a child, she has become even more health-conscious, and her awareness of hair and makeup has also changed.

"I've always liked organic products, but since having children, I've become even more particular about what I put on my skin and hair. My children are still young, so our skin and hair often come into contact when we're together, which is why I'm so particular about the ingredients when I choose products."

We asked Shinobu about the "little special things" in her daily routine.

9:45 AM. Even a hectic morning can be refreshed with this scent.

"My mornings start at 6am. First thing I do when I wake up is make breakfast for the kids. Once it's ready, I feed them... my mornings are hectic, and I put my own needs last. I get ready in between everything else. I want to drink water, but I don't even have time to brush my teeth... So, having a nice mouthwash on hand is a huge relief! Just rinsing it in my mouth leaves my mouth feeling refreshed, even on a busy morning. Plus, the bottle design is lovely, so it makes me feel elegant, at least in my mind."

2 PM. I feel wonderfully refreshed while washing my hands in between childcare and work.

"During the day, I either spend time with my child or work while they're in daycare. I thought my desire to work might decrease after having a child, but that wasn't the case at all (laughs). I love my job. After giving birth, I started going to bed and waking up earlier, which helped regulate my sleep schedule and made me more energetic. When you're with your child, you wash your hands more often. If you have a hand wash at home that smells nice and feels good to use, the time you spend washing your hands becomes special because you're surrounded by a pleasant scent. Because the scent is so pleasant, you'll want to take your time and wash your hands thoroughly up to your elbows."

7:30 PM. After putting the kids to bed, it's time for some luxurious adult time.

"My favorite way to spend time at home is to relax and enjoy a good bottle of wine. I stopped going out drinking after having children, but recently I've been enjoying some special home drinking sessions. When I do that, I make sure to bathe the kids early and get them to bed (laughs). My husband and I take turns bathing the kids, but it's a blessing when I can stretch out and enjoy a bath by myself. Using a shower gel with a scent I like makes it an even more blissful time. I choose scented items that are slightly different for daytime and nighttime. "My beauty routine involves thoroughly moisturizing with oil before bed. I especially love argan oil. I use it not only on my face but all over my body. Her daily routine reveals how freely Shinobu enjoys life. Where does she get the motivation to always remember to have fun amidst her busy days?

"I think it takes me a little longer than others to achieve my dreams. I've always wanted to work in the entertainment industry, but my twenties were a bit of a stagnant period. However, from my late twenties onwards, I gradually started to fulfill my long-held dreams, and I realized that age doesn't have to hold me back. I continued because I couldn't give up, but I'm glad I didn't. Not only have I been working in the entertainment industry, but I've also started making clothes, which I find very enjoyable, and now I'm finding more and more things to enjoy."


"I want my child to enjoy himself freely, so I try not to nag him too much. I don't want him to be constrained by the idea that 'he's a boy,' so I want to give him as many options as possible. There are still many things that frustrate me, so I want to cherish the little special moments in our daily life and have peace of mind."

Shinobu was born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1986. After working as a beauty consultant at MAC, she debuted as a model. She has appeared in magazines, advertisements, and commercials. She is also active as the director of the fashion brand "WOM". She is a mother of one child and a dog lover.
