- 06.17 Wed -06.25 Thu
- Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 7F Men's Authentic
There are several theories about the origin of the aloha shirt, but it is said to have started when Japanese people who immigrated to Hawaii made aloha shirts from kimono fabric as souvenirs for tourists. Although this is just one theory, it is true that aloha shirts made in Japan from kimono fabric and sewn by Japanese people in the 1930s, when the aloha shirt was born, still exist as vintage items today. Aloha shirts with Japanese patterns manufactured in the 1930s to 1950s are now highly sought after by collectors.
The "KIMONO" line, which incorporates vintage and Japanese elements, offers high-quality Aloha shirts made with gorgeously dyed fabrics from Okaju, a long-established Kyoto Yuzen dyeing company that has been in business since the Edo period, and carefully finished in sewing factories suited to the characteristics of the fabric.
This promotion will feature the "KIMONO" and "ARTIST" lines for a limited time. Why not add these executive-style aloha shirts, which are a cut above the average aloha shirt, to your summer wardrobe?
