Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F = Dress Shirts & Ties will be hosting a limited-time promotion for KENJI KAGA, a private brand directed by Kenji Kaga, a renowned style icon in the Italian classic fashion world, starting January 29th (Wednesday). The promotion will run until February 4th (Tuesday).


Ties: ¥30,800 each

Kenji Kaga is the director of "SEVEN FOLD srl/Sevenfold Co., Ltd." Sevenfold Co., Ltd. is world-renowned as a workshop that produces handmade seven-fold ties, and Kenji Kaga, which we are introducing here, is also produced by Sevenfold Co., Ltd., and develops a distinctive and beautiful tie collection that incorporates traditional techniques from Florence, Italy.

In particular, the ties incorporating traditional Florentine hand embroidery are characterized by the patterns applied to the wide end. The holes in the fabric are created by "thread pulling," a technique in which each thread is removed by hand, a skill possessed by only a limited number of artisans in the world.

The fabric, though 100% wool, possesses a silky smoothness, and the edges are finished with a four-fold hem using superior hand-sewing techniques. It truly has the appearance of something worthy of being called "the art of couture."
