Otsuka Shoe Co., Ltd., Japan's oldest shoe factory, will soon celebrate its 150th anniversary. Among its bespoke brands, Otsuka Bespoke, the most select and elite, will be holding an order event from Wednesday, November 13th at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F, Men's Shoes.

Otsuka Bespoke, the pinnacle of hand-stitched bespoke shoes, has been producing them since the founding of Otsuka Shoe Co., Ltd. Among the many craftsmen at the company, only two are dedicated to bespoke shoes. These ultimate shoes, entirely handcrafted by these skilled artisans, are characterized by their elegant atmosphere. They are born from a combination of high technical skills cultivated through many years of experience and the sensibilities passed down through generations.

During this order event, dedicated staff will measure each customer's feet and take their preferred materials and designs. Based on your requests, skilled craftsmen will create a wooden last, resulting in a one-of-a-kind pair of shoes, whether luxurious or simple.

Furthermore, the limited-edition pair of exquisite deadstock leather shoes, specially prepared for this event, is well worth seeing. Black calf leather from the German company "Carl Freudenberg," which is now out of business and therefore extremely rare and difficult to obtain, was secured as deadstock and added to this lineup.

Additionally, different events will be held each day over the weekend. On Saturday, November 16th, there will be a demonstration by a shoemaker involved in the brand's bespoke work, and on Sunday, November 17th, you can experience meticulous fitting by Naoaki Iwai, the founder of the Shoe Fitter Association and a senior shoe concierge at Otsuka Shoe Co., Ltd. This is a special opportunity to get a glimpse of the essence of bespoke shoes from the long-established Otsuka Shoe Co., Ltd., so we encourage you to try it.
