The craftsman's dedication lies in the details! From Niigata, "Marunao chopsticks" and "Suwada nail clippers" are appealing for their beautiful appearance and supreme usability.

From Wednesday, October 16th Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 8th floor = Isetan Men's Residence will host a limited-time promotion featuring Marunao and SUWADA , both showcasing the craftsmanship of artisans from Niigata. Marunao, with 80 years of history, will offer popular chopsticks and stationery known for their comfortable grip, while SUWADA will feature nail clippers and scissors that are said to be so good you won't want to let them go once you've used them.
Furthermore, during the event, we will also be offering initial engraving and name personalization services, making it a perfect item not only for yourself but also as a gift for someone special.

1. MARUNAO chopsticks that make eating enjoyable.

Founded in 1939 in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, Marunao began as a business specializing in carvings to decorate temples and shrines. Using fine woods from around the world, they create chopsticks that prioritize comfort and ease of use as dining utensils, combining modern machinery with the skilled hands of craftsmen.

During the exhibition, we will be showcasing a wide variety of items, including chopsticks crafted by artisans who have a deep understanding of wood, as well as men's accessories and stationery made from carefully selected materials such as ebony and rosewood.

Furthermore, a new ebony "pasta fork" and an "80th Anniversary Card Set (limited quantity)" which includes original playing cards and dice will also be unveiled.

Chopstick engraving service
"Engraved chopsticks," which can be engraved on the top of the chopsticks, are popular as gifts for celebrations such as weddings or for family members. While the engraving service usually takes two weeks to complete, we are now offering same-day pickup.
■October 19th (Sat), 20th (Sun), 26th (Sat), 27th (Sun) 11am to 6pm each day■Delivery: Items will be ready for pickup approximately one hour after order placement.

2. SUWADA nail clippers: A refined version of the "cutting" function.


Founded in 1926 in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, a region with a long history of blacksmithing, SUWADA nail clippers are handcrafted one by one by skilled artisans. The true essence of these clippers lies in their exceptional sharpness. Thanks to advanced blade-aligning technology that perfectly fits the blades together without any gaps, they cut cleanly, without scattering nail clippings, and leave a beautiful, smooth finish without the need for filing.

During the event, in addition to SUWADA 's standard nail clippers, bonsai scissors, a "custom-made 3-piece nail care set," and a special gift set called the "Grooming Care Set," which includes nail clippers, a leather case, and tweezers, will be available for the first time.
