From Wednesday, October 16th to Friday, November 1st, the gallery space "ART UP" on the 2nd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will host "Observation Records of Light," an exhibition curated by amachi., a brand created by Kurina Ninomiya, an artist from Toyama Prefecture, and Tenchi Yoshimoto, who hails from Elk Valley in the mountains of California, USA.

Knitwear: 308,000 yen
Gloves: 19,800 yen

Ninomiya and Yoshimoto collaborated on two knitwear pieces for Amachi's 2019 Autumn/Winter collection "Collection005" under the theme "Observation Records of Light," and this exhibition came about as a result of that collaboration.
The creations stem from a dialogue between the two companies, both rooted in nature and based on the common keyword of "light," and are expressed as three-dimensional works by Mr. Ninomiya and knitwear created in collaboration with Amachi and Mr. Ninomiya.

Kurina Ninomiya

Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1984. While attending Bunka Fashion College, she began creating three-dimensional works using drawing, collage, and knitting. In 2018, she moved her base of operations from Tokyo to Toyama. Her major recent activities include an artist-in-residence at Fujisawa City Art Space following her Special Award win at Artists in FAS 2018 and the "Artists in FAS 2018 Selected Artists Exhibition" (2018), "TOKYO CANAL LINKS #3" at Terada Warehouse Tpassage (2018), "BLOSSOM BLAST “What It Means To Be A Woman”" at Ultra Super New Gallery (2017), and a solo exhibition "Invisible Belongings" (2016).
