LUIGI BORRELLI is renowned as one of Naples' leading shirt makers in Italy. Currently, the second-generation owner, Fabio, is involved in the management, and in addition to producing the world's most famous shirts, they are also focusing on producing ties to complement them.
Since the 2000s, the brand has expanded into a luxury total brand offering suits, jackets, bottoms, knitwear, and more, all designed with a focus on superior comfort and the highest quality.

TODAY'S GUEST STYLE

Fabio, the second-generation owner, is also famous as a stylish regular in street style photos at "Pitti Immagine Uomo" held in Florence, Italy. As expected, he can strike a pose effortlessly just by having a camera pointed at him.

I visited Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , for a trunk show held in late September.
When asked about his knack for coordinating outfits, Fabio explained that he decides on his outfit after his morning coffee break. What's more, he doesn't start with the jacket or trousers, but rather chooses the shirt and tie first, which is typical of Fabio, the second-generation head of the family business.

Fabio's outfit features a micro-check shirt paired with a small-patterned tie, creating an elegant and sophisticated V-zone. Incidentally, the jacket lining features the brand's signature original check pattern, demonstrating his attention to detail and originality even in unseen areas.

LUIGI BORRELLI shirt: ¥39,600, tie: ¥17,600

Micro-check dress shirt × floral pattern tie

The shirt and tie are coordinated in blue, creating an elegant yet playful look.
This is a combination that Fabio himself is very fond of, and "Fancy" apparently means fantasy, whimsical taste, elegant, decorative, and unusual.

Returning to the explanation of the outfit, while a checked shirt might seem difficult to coordinate at first glance, Fabio says this outfit is neatly put together and easy to try.
Both the floral patterned kimono and the tie, when viewed together, are composed of a blue gradient, and the key point is that their appearance changes depending on the angle and lighting. While using the same color scheme, they exude a sense of elegance.
For suits and jackets, choose solid blue or navy tones to really accentuate the V-zone.

Button-down shirt × Club stripe tie

A V-zone coordination that is inspired by British style while retaining an Italian touch.
The button-down shirt has a casual feel thanks to its garment-washed finish, but pairing it with a club-striped tie adds a touch of dressiness. The slightly longer collar of the shirt prevents it from looking too casual, giving it an elegant feel.

Leaving the button-down unbuttoned adds a playful touch, and using a collar pin is also recommended. The subtle attention to detail in matching the texture of the club stripe fabric with the shirt's material is a perfect balance of Italian-style British fashion and on-trend trends. While a jacket style would also work well with this V-zone, pairing it with a blazer is apparently the current trend.

LUIGI BORRELLI shirt ¥42,900, tie ¥17,600

Striped dress shirt × plain navy tie

A fresh and stylish outfit featuring striking color contrasts.
Italian-favored striped shirts in the Mazzurro e Marrone (blue and brown combination) exude an elegant yet mild atmosphere. The key to pairing such a shirt is to wear it with a plain tie.

Choosing a plain tie will create a coordinated look where the shirt and tie complement each other. For the suit, a plain color or one with a subtle, understated pattern is recommended, as it will create a refined look in the V-zone.
