GEOX

New shoes inspired by Formula E.

Formula E, a formula car race using electric vehicles, started in 2014. As a replacement for internal combustion engine car races, it has progressed with each passing season, and major car manufacturers such as Porsche, Nissan, and Mercedes-Benz have begun to participate. And it feels very natural that GEOX, which makes "breathable" footwear that ensures breathability with its unique technology, is involved in such a cutting-edge motorsport race, given that each company is striving for innovation.

At this year's ISETAN Shoe Fair, GEOX will have a booth related to the Formula E team "GEOX DRAGON." They will be unveiling the new "GEOX Aerantis™," which is also provided to drivers and team members who operate in demanding environments. This new model combines an inner breathing system that ensures breathability inside the shoe with a net breathing system in the sole, and is said to offer groundbreaking "breathing" performance.

The new "GEOX Aerantis™" is also supplied to the "GEOX DRAGON" team. It features a special inner lining with air pockets, creating space between the foot and instep with the "Inner Breathing Shim," and a "Net Breathing System" with a membrane and protective net that prevents water droplets from passing through and has micropores larger than water vapor molecules. This combination creates a comfortable fit. ¥24,000 + tax

This season, the "GEOX DRAGON" team consisted of three drivers: JOS EMARIA LOPEZ, MAXIMILIAN GUNTHER, and FELIPE NASR, who competed in races held in 12 cities around the world.

White Label

This is a 3D measurement of the foot. Since the measurement was taken for women's shoes with heels, the heel is elevated. You can faintly see the outline of the shoe, derived from the shape and condition of the foot.

3D measurement and printing for creating wooden molds.

White Label is a shoe brand that primarily focuses on women's footwear, realizing a completely new approach to made-to-order shoes using 3D measurement and printing. The method involves first taking 3D measurements of the foot from all angles, then using this measurement data as a base, and combining it with digital data from the traditional wooden last-making process by craftsmen, before using a 3D printer to cut the wooden last. As a result, a higher level of fitting is possible, and the wooden last-making process can be sped up.

At the ISETAN Shoe Fair, they will be showcasing made-to-order men's shoes that utilize this technology. The shoes will be manufactured by a Japanese shoe factory, using lasts created with a 3D printer. This could truly be considered a new frontier for Made in Japan craftsmanship. Prices start from 150,000 yen + tax.
