From Wednesday, August 21st to Tuesday, September 17th, the "ART UP" section on the 2nd floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building will host "colours," an exhibition of works by Mayumi Yamase.

Mayumi Yamase has worked on campaign visuals for "MAN/WOMAN" at Paris Fashion Week, created art for COMME des GARÇONS, and held a solo exhibition "HOW OBJECTS SPREAD" at N0.12 Gallery in May of this year. She is also involved in various other activities, such as editing and writing for culture and fashion magazines.

This exhibition focuses on the theme of "color," showcasing and selling paintings and soft sculptures based on three colors: blue, green, and orange. For artist Yamase, "color" is an important element in shaping her work. It also symbolizes and expresses elements that are difficult to visualize in everyday life, which are of interest to the artist, such as the cells that are constantly moving within the body and the emotions that are stimulated and float around by them.
