To coincide with the "French Week" event being held at Isetan Shinjuku, Dani Royer, CEO of Pequignet, will be visiting the Jewelry & Watch section on the 4th floor of the main building on Saturday, April 13th, to take pre-orders for the "Rue Royal Safia" watch.

Development of the Pequignet in-house research and development movement "Calibre Royal" began in 2006, and it was launched in 2011, just five years later—an astonishingly fast pace.
The Calibre Royal, which features a revolutionary center-shaft drive that completely revamped the watch's movement, has also acquired eight international patents, and its calendar mechanism incorporates three internationally patented technologies.

The new "Rue Royal Sapphire" features a sapphire crystal dial and showcases a "flat 3-disc jumping day-date calendar."


While many manufacturers employ a big date calendar, the Calibre Royal also features a larger day display. Not only is the day-date larger, but the three date discs—the tens digit, the units digit, and the day of the week—are positioned closely together without gaps, resulting in excellent legibility. Furthermore, the calendar advances in 1/10th of a second, allowing for instant and reliable information.

What's particularly noteworthy is the absence of the "calendar operation prohibited time" typically found in standard calendar functions, from around 8 PM to 2 AM. This significantly reduces the risk of calendar malfunctions that can occur during normal operation. Combined with the long power reserve, this demonstrates a commitment to user-centric design.
