Letter

hello everyone.
I'd like to start this blog post with a letter I received from CHALIE.


I'm writing this letter right now at Milan Malpensa Airport, where I'm in transit. After spending New Year's in Tuscany, I've been traveling around Italy for a while, and now I'm heading to Geneva, where winter is in full swing.

There's a reason I'm writing you a letter today after such a long time. I've decided to close the gallery and salon that I've shared with my friends for about five years. That's because I'll be leaving Tokyo for a while.

Actually, a hotel project in Switzerland that I've been secretly working on has officially started. The location is Gstaad, a ski resort two hours by car from Geneva. As you know, it's a luxury place where Elizabeth Taylor and Madonna have stayed, but it's also full of rustic charm. It's a little like the Japanese countryside. So when I first visited Gstaad, I thought it would be wonderful to build a hotel there with the concept of a hot spring inn. Of course, building regulations in Switzerland are strict, so the exterior will remain in the style of a mountain lodge.

I plan to return to Tokyo once this project is finished, but I'll let everyone know as soon as I'm ready to share various experiences with my new friends.

This is a sudden announcement, so we understand that some of you may be surprised. We Angels are among those who are surprised.
The days I spent with CHALIE were so enjoyable, and every day was fulfilling. I was often struck by the "things and experiences" he brought back from various countries and regions.
It makes me very sad that he will be leaving Japan. However, looking at this fact from a different perspective, we can also see it as having one "big thing to look forward to."

The thought that we might one day get to see the projects CHALIE takes on, and that we might one day see him with an even greater sense of humor, makes me so excited!
The curtain is closing on 'CHALIE VICE' for now, but we look forward to the day when we can meet again with all of CHALIE's friends and with him.
