Did you know that you can order GLOBE-TROTTER travel cases to your liking? This bespoke service, previously only available at the London flagship store and the Ginza store, will now be available at ISETAN MEN'S starting this spring.




The "The Clubhouse" on the second floor of the Globe-Trotter Ginza store is a special floor. Used as an event space, it also serves as an archive gallery, displaying replicas of travel cases actually used in the James Bond film "Skyfall," as well as special models created in collaboration with various famous brands. What particularly catches the eye are the travel cases that have actually traveled the world with their owners. They may be haphazardly covered in stickers, scratched, and dirty, but each one is full of character and unique charm. The essence of that charm lies in the fact that it is unlike anyone else's Globe-Trotter, possessing a unique character that is all their own. It is nothing less than a part of the cherished memories of their travels.

If you look to the corner of the floor, you'll find a bespoke service corner. This service, which allows you to choose the size and customize freely, is only available at the London flagship store and the Ginza store. Or rather, to be precise, it "wasn't available" in the past tense. This spring, a bespoke service will also be launched on the first basement floor of ISETAN MEN'S building, making it the third such service in the world.

This bespoke service allows customers to customize everything from the vulcanized fiber body, handles, corner pieces, belts, lining, stitching, and even the color of the lock to their liking. Customers can order from standard models, ranging from 7-inch London Square to 30-inch extra-deep suitcases, as well as special sizes and types not typically sold. According to Fumitoshi Sano, the bespoke specialist in charge of the service at the Ginza store, they have actually made hat cases and wine cases in the past.



"Our bespoke service is divided into several stages. As the order rank increases, you can choose different colors for each side of the body, and select special colors such as matte shades, glossy colors, glitter, and lacquer coatings. Of course, I will help you with how to combine the colors. Even just changing the lock from silver to gold can completely change the impression."


The series of services will be provided using a special system developed specifically for this purpose. The 3D image displayed on the screen can be manipulated using an original user interface, allowing users to freely change the color scheme of each part. There are over 18 billion possible combinations. Users can create their desired design while watching the projected finished image on the screen. A similar service will be available on a compact tablet at ISETAN MEN'S store. Personalization services such as stenciling and hand-painting by artisans have previously been offered as seasonal events at ISETAN MEN'S store, but these will also become permanent features.

It takes years of travel to reach the point where a Globe-Trotter case covered in stickers, like the one displayed on the second floor of the Ginza store, becomes truly unique. But with the personalization service, you can have a one-of-a-kind travel case that's uniquely yours, starting today. The stickers you put on it, the scratches it gets, and the memories it holds are all privileges granted only to Globe-Trotter owners.
