ECCO , which is currently hosting a limited-time pop-up for its world-first customization project "QUANT-U" at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F (Men's Shoes) until March 26th (Tuesday), will be selling a limited quantity of the hybrid waterproof boots "ECCO x Norwegian Rain ST.1 HYBRID," a collaboration with outerwear brand Norwegian Rain, starting March 15th (Friday).

Hybrid waterproof shoes in a "Nordic modern style" have arrived.

Norwegian Rain, a luxury outerwear brand from Bergen, Norway, combines high functionality, including waterproofing, with stylish design. These two Scandinavian brands, sharing the common theme of "combining functionality and style," have teamed up and utilized the platform of ECCO 's popular sneaker, the "ST.1," to create a hybrid waterproof leather zip boot.

Featuring a Velcro-fastened leather belt and zipper for easy on and off, these hybrid waterproof boots, suitable for three seasons, maintain the sophisticated, minimalist design characteristic of Scandinavian brands. Combining formal and athletic elements, these boots incorporate premium leather manufactured in ECCO 's own leather factory and state-of-the-art technology for ultimate comfort.

An ultra-limited release with only one of each of the two models available in each size.

The beige hybrid waterproof shoes, a collaboration between Norwegian Rain and DSM Dyneema, utilize "Dyneema® processed leather," a joint development between ECCO Leather and DSM Dyneema. This innovative leather combines Dyneema® fibers—which are approximately 15 times stronger than steel and light enough to float on water—with ECCO 's premium leather through an extremely difficult bonding process.

Despite being lightweight and as thin as paper, it maintains a high level of tear resistance, achieving world-class durability. Furthermore, the black upper is made of high-quality grained leather that feels smooth to the touch. High water repellency thanks to HYDROMAX processing keeps the inside of the shoe comfortable in any weather.


In terms of functionality, it employs the Dynamic Comfort Platform, which creates an innovative wearing experience. ECCO unique manufacturing method, which integrally molds the upper and sole without using threads or glue, creates an exquisite balance of cushioning and responsiveness, resulting in a comfortable fit that feels like an extension of the delicate sole of the foot. Furthermore, the ultra-lightweight new material PHORENE™ used in the midsole has twice the shock absorption capacity of conventional ECCO PU (polyurethane) material, with 50% improved responsiveness and over 30% lighter weight. It is also highly resistant to cold, maintaining its flexibility even at temperatures as low as -40°C.

Furthermore, the SHOCK THRU™ cushioning points made of SD.PU material in the sole enhance shock absorption, cushioning, and rebound during push-off with every step. The T.PU outsole offers high durability, firmly supporting the ground and ensuring a comfortable fit. The anatomically designed last (shoe mold) features a shape that follows the natural curves of the foot for a comfortable and snug fit.
