Starting as naval workwear, the white T-shirt has now become a wardrobe staple, and it's probably an item that everyone owns at least one of.
Sunspel, a long-established British brand founded in 1860 that offers "high-quality everyday wear" made from delicate cotton, is releasing a limited-edition T-shirt for Mitsukoshi Isetan featuring a print of their past archive logo. It will be available from March 16th (Saturday) at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 1F, in the Sweaters & Casual Shirts section.

Founded in England in 1860, SUNSPEL began manufacturing cotton undershirts in the mid-19th century. Over time, the buttons on the neckline disappeared, long sleeves became short sleeves, and cuffs, pockets, and collars were removed. It was in the 1950s that SUNSPEL 's white T-shirt reached the pinnacle of simplicity that made it an iconic item.


The brand's British-made T-shirts still use the original 1950s design, with only minor changes. To commemorate the remodeled opening of Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , two limited-edition T-shirts featuring a past archive logo printed on the left hem will be released.
Furthermore, until Tuesday, March 19th, the lineup will include items not usually available at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building terrycloth hoodies, pants, cut-and-sew tops, and neckerchiefs. In addition, the first 50 customers who purchase Sansper products totaling 9,720 yen or more will receive a free original tote bag. Stamps created from rubber plates that the brand has kept in its archives will also be available, so you can stamp them on the gift tote bag or on items you bring with you.
