It was a cold three-day weekend. Perhaps because of the snow forecast, the salon was a little quiet this weekend.
However, Nakky Made was a huge success! Although it was only available for two days, Saturday and Sunday, we received a lot of orders.


Shimaji : "Nacky Made is incredibly popular. It's impressive to see everyone who orders leave with a smile, looking forward to receiving their finished product four months later. Romantic extravagance really enriches life."


Nakky Made is scheduled to be held again in about four months.
Furthermore, there was another event during this three-day weekend.


This is a TAKAFUMI ARAI quilt tongue pattern order event.
We introduce shoe accessories and other items by shoe designer Takafumi Arai, who creates one-of-a-kind shoes by piecing together leftover leather that would otherwise be cut and discarded. We also accept custom orders for kiltie tongues.

Shimaji : "It's fun to see all the different color combinations. Besides quilted tongues and tassels, we also have shoehorns and bow ties. We'll be holding a pattern order event on February 16th (Sat) and 17th (Sun), so please come if you're interested. You might find something you love."


While ready-made items are available for purchase on weekdays, custom orders will only be accepted on February 16th (Saturday) and 17th (Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, when Mr. Arai will be visiting the store. Please take this opportunity to stop by.

Katsuhiko Shimaji is the producer of the Isetan Men's Residence Salon de Shimaji, located on the 8th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building . Born in 1941, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and joined Shueisha. He was assigned to "Weekly Playboy" and became its editor-in-chief in 1983, where he created a sensation with the "Life Advice" column featuring Renzo Shibata, Toko Kon, and Ken Kaiko as respondents, growing the magazine into a million-copy publication. He later served as editor-in-chief of "PLAYBOY Japan" and "BART." After serving as the representative director of Shueisha International, he retired in 2008. He is currently a writer and essayist.
