With its renewal imminent, ISETAN MEN'S is seeing a succession of new brands making their debut this spring. Each collection features the latest design work, skillfully incorporating elements that reflect the times, while simultaneously possessing timeless appeal and value. At the Authentic Wear section on the 7th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , they are showcasing a collection of oversized short-sleeved shirts crafted from atmospheric vintage fabrics by New York-based Dash L. Brahman.

In search of the ever-evolving cutting edge of "authenticity," the 7th floor's Authentic Wear section has been boldly reborn, and this season's recommendation is an open-collar shirt from Dash L. Brahman, making its debut at Isetan Men's. While the brand itself is a total brand based in New York, they have deliberately focused on delivering just one type of shirt that makes full use of vintage fabrics, making it a "one of a kind."

The shirts, featuring striking pop and retro graphics, are all made using vintage fabrics personally collected by the designer in the Garment District (New York's apparel industry hub where fabric shops and wholesalers are concentrated). Because the amount of fabric is limited, every part, including the selvage, is utilized, resulting in a unique atmosphere that can only be found in vintage pieces. At the same time, it's an eco-friendly, ethical, and sustainable collection. The eras range from the 1960s to the 1980s, and the compositions are incredibly diverse, including silk, rayon, and polyester. The fact that each piece is a one-of-a-kind item adds to its special appeal.

While the graphic fabrics tend to grab all the attention, the boxy, oversized silhouette is definitely on-trend. For those of you who are tired of the same old aloha shirts and all-over prints, this open-collar shirt is a step above the rest.
