Yamaguchi has a saying that his mentor in Naples instilled in him.

"When the finished garments are delivered, they shouldn't look brand new. They're meant to be worn by people, so the clothes shouldn't stand out. Clothes are meaningless unless they enhance the person wearing them."

Based on these words, he realized that "fashion and bespoke require different approaches."

After two fittings, Yamaguchi looked pleased with the finished coat.

KUYURI said that during the fitting process, she gradually realized that a coat "made just for her" was taking shape, and when she tried on the finished coat, she was captivated by its unprecedented comfort and stylish design.


"The elegant silhouette around the waist, and despite its fitted appearance, it's incredibly comfortable. I couldn't find a ready-made coat with a satisfactory length, so I used to wear wide, oversized coats and thought that the extra room was 'comfortable,' but wearing this coat, I finally understood what 'fitting' truly means."


La Scala's women's coat was created with the intention of being a timeless piece that can be worn for years to come, without being influenced by trends, and with a length that makes the most of KUYURI's tall stature. While it is a classic and elegant coat, when KUYURI wears it it looks fashionable, a testament to how well it captures her charm and has been crafted to suit her.

Finally, KUYURI said, "I want to use this as my icon."

I imagined her confidently walking through the streets of Paris, her coat fluttering in the wind.
