Customer requests are:

I don't want to wear black, which is often worn in formal settings.
I think a shawl collar is too formal, so I'd prefer peaked lapels.
I want to wear something unusual, but I also want it to look formal.

"This fabric is a mohair blend, and the color is a navy that's close to black. It has a moderate sheen and just the right amount of stiffness, making it a fabric that drapes beautifully, and I recommend it as an ideal fabric for formal occasions," says Hatori.

The base is Lid Tailor's classic model, featuring a double-breasted jacket with peaked lapels made of silk. The jacket pockets are double-welted without flaps, and the no-vent design firmly expresses the elements of formal wear.

"The fabric is firm enough to be suitable for the main character of a ceremony or when speaking in front of others, but the soft tailoring makes it very comfortable to wear. The groom can wear it with a wing collar shirt and bow tie, while guests can wear it with a regular collar shirt and tie. The trousers have two pleats and a single hem, and the absence of side stripes was requested by the customer so that it can be worn in more casual settings as well."
