Maehara Kouei Shoten continues to create umbrellas that are made in Japan, using the skills of Japanese craftsmen. Each umbrella is made using carefully selected components such as silk, batik-dyed fabrics, and natural wood, and is known as a "specialty umbrella" that has been loved by many celebrities.

The collaboration between Maehara Koei Shoten and PORTER , which began in 2014, has reached its 70th anniversary. With the desire to "return to its roots," they have created a long umbrella for the first time. The result is a product that fuses Maehara Koei Shoten's traditional style with PORTER 's design and functionality.

This latest model from Maehara Koei Shoten features the brand's signature design: 16 main ribs and a length of 60cm. Using the brand's original steel frame, it expresses a traditional style and beautiful silhouette. The weight inherent in steel frames is strategically placed at the center of gravity, ensuring stable carrying.


Furthermore, the handle, which could be considered the "face" of the umbrella, is wrapped in special cowhide leather by the craftsmen who support PORTER . The surface of the leather is treated with Scotchgard, so you can hold it without worry even with wet hands.
