The collection's stage shifted from Milan to Manhattan—to commemorate the opening of its flagship store at 740 Madison Avenue in New York, BOTTEGA VENETA Fall/Winter 2018-19 collection was held in New York for this season only. The "microdots" used in the viscose silk material, which was featured in the relaxed New York style, were particularly eye-catching.

At Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 3rd floor, the international designers' section of BOTTEGA VENETA has introduced a series of bags and small leather goods (SLG) using a new technique called "Intrecciato Microdots," which creates patterns that look like moving pixels. The flawless appearance of the microdots, which add an artistic accent to the items, is achieved by skilled craftsmen who meticulously carry out the complex manufacturing process.

First, in the printing process, four colors are printed one by one using the silkscreen printing technique on hand-woven leather panels. Next, in the embroidery process, two colors of embroidery are applied precisely to the printed design, and by overlapping the stitches, the thickness is varied, creating a stunning visual effect.

The embroidery uses six colors, each color blending seamlessly to recreate the fabric's pattern. The dyed leather edges also create an eye-catching, graphical appeal.

The Intrecciato Microdots series features a range of items, including duffel-sized bags and practical clutch bags, as well as zip-around wallets, bi-fold wallets, and card cases, all showcasing a colorful and surreal new technique.

Furthermore, a duffel bag made with luxuriously smooth deerskin leather is available in a latte color exclusive to Japan, which beautifully showcases the leather's texture. The shoulder strap features a unique gradient effect created by a combination of three colors.
