He was born and raised in San Mauro Pascoli, a small town in Italy with a rich shoemaking tradition, and was strongly drawn to music, fashion, and art from a young age. He started his career as a freelance designer for international luxury brands, but feeling the need to achieve free styling without restrictions, he decided to take a new step and acquired the shoe manufacturer Vicini in the early 1990s. From there, Giuseppe's shoe designs, which challenged new technologies, began.

Giuseppe Zanotti's first collection was unveiled at the Plaza Hotel in New York, where buyers highly praised his talent as a rising designer and his jewelry-like shoes. Soon, his exceptional designs attracted attention from around the world, and the company grew exponentially.
