DRIES VAN NOTEN has opened a limited-time pop-up store focusing on its Fall/Winter 2018 men's collection at Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building 2nd floor, International Creators . This time, the vibrant marble-print nylon coat that marked the finale of the collection will be released as a limited-edition item. Ten different patterns of the coat, created using a special technique called paper marbling, will be available in limited quantities and for a limited time at only 10 stores worldwide, with one pattern being exclusive to each store.

This is the first time marbling has been used on textiles and clothing.

Dries Van Noten's "Marble Print Nylon Coat" will be available in different patterns and colors at all 10 stores in Antwerp, Paris, Tokyo, New York, London, Moscow, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The coat utilizes a traditional marbling technique called "Ebru," which is originally used for the inside pages of books. By scattering oil-based paint on a water surface and transferring it onto paper, various motifs can be created.

Dries Van Noten's design team sought out skilled artisans willing to collaborate on this technique for textiles, sharing their marbling knowledge. They stayed at the artisans' studios in London, resulting in the creation of 300 exceptional pieces.

The store will also be showcasing the latest Fall/Winter 2018 collection. The collection, which mixes various different elements such as marble prints, Nashville, traditional, tailoring, folk, tartan, and sports, weaves together keywords and tastes to richly exude the unique elegance that Dries Van Noten possesses.
