The overall feeling of navigating the course and the greens is enjoyable.

--After practicing the basic four shots, I played three holes on the short course with Mr. Nakagawa.
I do enjoy practicing diligently at the swing range (hitting bays) on the rooftop of the Ota Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building but I'm much more motivated to practice when I'm out on the course (laughs) . When I practice, I don't know when I'll need a particular technique, but today I feel like I've finally grasped the concept.

—What was the most difficult part of today's practice?
As they say, the Ota bunker is really difficult... I didn't know the rule that you can't touch the sole of your iron to the sand, and you have to swing through completely, so it's really hard! I realized I need to practice my sand wedge properly.

--Finally, what are your impressions of the trial session?
I now understand why people get hooked on Ota Golf. When you're out on the course, you want to hit nice shots and play smartly! But golf is a sport that requires concentration because the situation changes constantly. I think you need to master the basics first, and then the course is where you apply those skills.
Having experienced the course for the first time, I can now watch professional tournaments with a greater sense of appreciation.

I received advice from Hiroko Nakagawa, who accompanied me on the swing.

Watching Nakagawa and Ota's course debut experience, it was immediately clear that they have excellent core strength. Their body doesn't wobble when they swing, which is crucial in golf. They can make adjustments after the first shot, so they have good intuition. I think Ota's honesty is also evident in the fact that they didn't pretend to understand but instead did exactly what they were told.
They say bunker shots are difficult, but we have a bunker facility for practicing swings, so I'll make sure they get plenty of practice (laughs).
