With cherry blossoms in full bloom in Tokyo, it's the season to truly switch to spring attire. At Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building B1F, in the men's shoe section, Don Pepe, a brand perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to your spring footwear, will be launching its collection. From March 28th (Wednesday), a pop-up shop will be held in conjunction with the Mitsukoshi Isetan campaign "JAPAN SENSES," which re-examines Japanese craftsmanship, embodying beauty, skill, and tradition, and re-promotes it as a sensibility to be proud of to the world. The same floor will feature the latest collection, including sandals exclusive to Mitsukoshi Isetan and slip-ons that luxuriously use Imabari pile fabric.

Don Pepe is an up-and-coming brand that debuted in Spring/Summer 2016, based in Tokyo. With a design team that has partnered with factories across Europe for over a decade and been involved in shoe production for numerous apparel brands, it's a brand that's attracting attention in the shoe industry.

These shoes, imbued with the warmth of the craftsman's touch, feature an authentic design that maximizes the appeal of the materials. While the materials used are primarily high-quality leather, their innovative approach to manufacturing, actively incorporating Japanese denim and knit fabrics, is also noteworthy. These are truly items for adults that offer the luxury of making wearing carefully crafted shoes a part of everyday life, and their future developments are definitely worth keeping an eye on.
