Lucie and Luke Meier, the husband-and-wife duo, have been appointed as the new creative directors of JIL SANDER . Following the shocking announcement in April 2017, the full scope of their work was finally revealed with the Spring/Summer 2018 resort collection. For one week starting January 17th (Wednesday), a pop-up store will open on the 1st floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building , offering a glimpse into the world of Jil Sander's latest collection and their creative activities.

Luke Meier, the husband, majored in economics at Oxford University, then studied fashion at FIT, and is currently an intellectual designer and co-founder of OAMC. His wife, Lucy, is a highly accomplished individual who worked on the design team at LOUIS VUITTON , served as head designer at BALENCIAGA , and later as creative director at DIOR after Raf Simons' departure. The new Jil Sander, created by this duo with brilliant careers, features products that are unparalleled in their simplicity and beauty.

Their first resort collection focuses on the delicate and high-quality material usage that German designer Jil Sander, originally from Hamburg, has consistently introduced to the world. While maintaining the minimalist design and the aesthetic condensed within it, they have elevated the collection to a new level by adding an unprecedented essence through a "reconstruction" approach, centering on the shirt, one of the brand's iconic items.

The pop-up store, which opens on Wednesday, January 17th, will showcase the latest collection in one place, allowing visitors to fully experience the new world of Jil Sander.
