A clear answer to "Why do men use skincare products?"

--Mr. Hoshiba, you take great care of your skin. Why do you continue to do so?

I'm always tanned, so it's about taking care of that. It's about taking care of the negative effect of sunburn and bringing it back to a "net zero." To give an analogy, it's like drinking green juice because you've eaten too much tonkotsu ramen—a way of maintaining the status quo. (laughs)


--I see. Also, Mr. Hoshiba, you often talk about perfume at your talk shows, don't you?

I love perfume. When I wear a suit, I use PENHALIGON'S "Blenheim Bouquet Eau de Toilette." It's elegant and has a clean feel, so I think it "suits a gray suit."
I also like PENHALIGON'S Opus 1870 Eau de Toilette, but compared to Blenheim Bouquet, its scent is more sensual. It has a glossy feel to it, and I imagine it would go well with a black shirt.
