Walking through the 7th floor of the "Autumn/Winter Men's Building" with Yoshimasa Hoshiba | "Rugged & Authentic" clothing selected by an Italian fashion enthusiast.(1/2)

Yoshimasa Hoshiba, editor-in-chief of Kodansha's web magazine "FORZA STYLE" and a fashion director, commented upon seeing the 7th floor, the authentic casual wear floor, "The renovation has improved the view. The divisions between brands are easier to understand, and it's easier to see the coordinated outfits."

Yoshimasa Hoshiba, whose third book, "Yoshimasa Hoshiba's Guide to Adult Casual Style: The Ultimate Everyday Wear," has just been released, is starting his "Autumn/Winter Stroll Through Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building " from the newly renovated 7th floor's Authentic Casual section!

The 7th floor is a perfect blend of "Tokyo vibes + American casual style."

--Mr. Hoshiba, you give the impression of wearing a jacket and tie, but do you ever dress in an American casual style?

The generation slightly younger than me experienced the "Ura-Harajuku boom" during their youth, and they know the appeal and charm of not only overseas brands, but also the "easy-to-wear yet slightly edgy clothes" made by Japanese designers.

Looking at the selection on the 7th floor, you'll find everything from authentic brands like Nigel Cabourn, POLO RALPH LAUREN , and Belstaff to numerous collaborations (special orders) with Japanese designers such as Captain Sunshine, allowing you to wear something truly unique.

For men in their 30s and 40s who know how to combine "Tokyo vibes" with "American casual style," this store likely offers a selection of clothes that perfectly meet their needs and desires.

I've also experienced the American casual and Shibuya casual trends, and I've worn everything from rugged, manly clothes to timeless classics like pea coats. But my face now is different from how it used to be; I don't have the "American wild look" of Paul Newman or Steve McQueen, so American casual doesn't really suit me at this age and with this face (laughs). But today, let's try to find something that does suit me!
