[Interview] Kazunari Sakai | TOFF&LOADSTONE bags stand out for their quiet assertiveness

Toff & Loadstone derives its name from "Toff," meaning "a stylish person," and "Loadstone," meaning "something that attracts people." Rather than viewing bags as merely tools for carrying things, their concept is to create timeless designs that transcend the ages, like antiques. They produce high-quality bags that are not only elegantly beautiful but also highly functional.

The brand's bags feature original brass fittings that have been a lifelong project since the brand's inception. These brass castings, made by pouring brass into sand molds, are difficult to mass-produce, and their charm lies in the beautiful curves and warmth that only handmade items can offer.
The classical element of brass fittings and the modern look emanating from the design are harmoniously blended, creating a harmonious harmony of seemingly contradictory elements.

Briefcase (Mitsukoshi Isetan exclusive) ¥52,920

At the pop-up store, a Mitsukoshi Isetan exclusive briefcase made with shrink leather featuring a beautiful textured finish will be available. It boasts excellent functionality, with a wide opening like an attaché case and equipped with pen holders and pockets for storing a laptop.
Furthermore, for a limited time during the pop-up event, we will also be offering a special selection of casual bags, including backpacks and tote bags.
