Series 3: MACKINTOSH LONDON | The Joy of Wearing Authentic British Craftsmanship – The Masterpiece of the "Rubberized Coat"(1/2)

Did you know that overseas, "Mackintosh" isn't a noun, but rather synonymous with the shape of a trench coat or the very definition of a raincoat? — Yuki Yamaura, the buyer in charge, says, "While rubberized coats are the most common type of raincoat, it's a miracle that the waterproof Mackintosh coat, made by combining rubber-bonded Mackintosh cloth developed in the 19th century with a special adhesive, has survived to this day using the same manufacturing method since the British Industrial Revolution (about 200 years ago). It's proof that it has been supported as an authentic product by people all over the world."

A rubberized coat named "Dunkeld" that embodies ultimate simplicity.

The "DUNKELD," a best-selling model representing MACKINTOSH LONDON , is synonymous with the trench coat, and the rubberized "DUNKELD" in particular is a masterpiece that you'll want to add to your wardrobe. It suits everyone, matches any outfit, and exudes a timeless appeal that transcends trends.

These rubberized coats, still made one by one by craftsmen using 19th-century methods, are characterized by their construction that prevents rain from leaking through the seams. All seams are taped to the back, and the lining and pockets are attached with adhesive. Because each coat is made with such care, with craftsmen spreading the adhesive with their fingers, applying the tape, and then drying it with a roller, the coat proudly bears a "Genuine Handmade" label.

Furthermore, the Dunkeld is a stand-collar coat characterized by its bal collar (single collar) and fly-front design, and its distinctive shoulder slope and compact shoulder area create an impressive A-line silhouette that widens towards the hem.

The back silhouette silently proclaims the next "Mackintosh."
