The idea behind these custom-made slacks was to rethink the classic grey slacks and create the grey slacks that everyone wants right now! We approached PT01 for advice. We borrowed ideas from Domenico Gianfrate, a stylish older gentleman who is a highly capable director, and first we chose a single pleat with a relaxed fit around the waist. It's a favorite of the trendy classic-style older gentlemen, and the comfortable, relaxed fit is also a major draw.

The jersey fabric, with its strong recovery, also has the advantage of giving off a rich, natural sheen. The key is that it looks basic at first glance, yet has a certain presence.

And then there's the smoothly tapered line. We've carefully considered the perfect pattern that's not too sharp and naturally flatters the legs of Japanese people. From among many options, we selected a jersey fabric with a subtle sheen that gives it an elegant look. It's the perfect complement to the jacket, the source of its allure, and it's also incredibly comfortable—the perfect pair of grey slacks that we're so happy with!
