Norm Gotairiku: A dignified and beautiful "domestically produced classic" suit is born.

Norm Gotairiku is a new brand that debuted in the Spring/Summer 2017 season and is exclusively at Isetan Shinjuku Store . Based on the "English drape" of the 1930s, which can be considered the prototype of the suit, each garment features a soft lapel and front made with a single layer of interlining, a rounded silhouette reminiscent of the way fabric is draped over the body in traditional Japanese clothing, and a soft shoulder area made only with thin felt instead of padding, resulting in a relaxed, contemporary feel that makes it comfortable to wear.

Suit: 91,800 yen

This material is woven on a Schonherr loom at Katsuri Woolen Mills, a prestigious textile manufacturer in Bishu. It uses SUPER100' yarn blended with Tasmanian wool, resulting in a fabric characterized by its firmness, body, and luster.

Suit: 102,600 yen

This original fabric was specially ordered from Yamaei Keori, a long-established company in Bishu with over 100 years of history. Using 48-count double-ply yarn, it creates a nostalgic brown-based herringbone pattern.

As is typical of the brand's focus on "Japanese modern" aesthetics, this pattern order event will feature a selection of top-quality Japanese fabrics, including classic swatches based on the sophisticated and refined colors of the Edo period, such as "brown and gray" and traditional Japanese indigo (navy). The collection includes attractive fabrics that possess both luster and a soft texture.

We encourage you to try Norm Gotairiku, a suit that evokes a sense of exhilaration when you put it on and grows more cherished the more you wear it.
