[Feature] Linen products that are useful until the end of summer: things you might not know about how to care for them.

The person who will be teaching us is Ayumi Onishi, Branding Manager at The Laundress.
"Linen has the property of becoming stronger when soaked in water. The more you wash it, the more unique texture it develops, so watching it change over time is one of the joys of caring for it."

The Laundress (from left): Stiffin' Up Classic (ironing spray/250mL) ¥3,024, Wash and Stain Bar (spot cleaning soap) ¥1,296, Signature Detergent Classic (color detergent/1L) ¥4,104, Stain Solution Unscented (stain remover/475mL) ¥3,024
Linen is prone to wrinkles and pilling. Because of its soft texture, it can come back from dry cleaning with too much starch... If you're going to care for it yourself, you should rely on "The Laundress," a specialty fabric care brand based in New York.
Made entirely from plant-derived ingredients and completely free of petroleum-based raw materials, this product effectively removes dirt using the power of enzymes. With care items available for different purposes and areas, such as wine and tea stains and collar grime, even beginners can achieve professional-level cleaning results.
Care for linen shirts
First, make sure you have all the necessary care items without compromising. While the material may fade, you can wash items of similar colors together. And don't forget to enjoy the process!

1. Stain removal ①
For stubborn sebum and oil stains on collars and cuffs, apply the soap directly. It's also recommended for quick laundry while traveling.

2. Stain removal ②
A brush is effective for spot cleaning, such as removing stains and sebum buildup. This brush uses natural horsehair for a gentler cleaning action.
3. Fill a bowl with water, add half a capful of detergent containing dye protectants and enzymes, and let it soak for about 30 minutes.

4. Rinse thoroughly with water below 30°C until all detergent residue is gone. Do not twist or wring; gently press to remove excess water.

5. Place a towel on an uneven surface, put the item on top of it, and roll it up like a scroll to remove excess moisture.

6. When hanging clothes on a hanger to dry, always reshape them. This will make ironing easier. Avoid tumble drying; air drying in the shade is a must.

7. Spray glue over the entire surface while it is still slightly damp. Ironing before it dries completely will help set the shape.
