From Wednesday, August 9th, a pop-up store for FDMTL will open on the 7th floor Isetan Shinjuku Store, Men's Building in the Authentic Casual section. It will be open for a limited time until Monday, August 21st.

Fundamental is a brand launched in 2005 by designer Manabu Tsuyoshi. Based on the concept of "products that you grow to love the more you wear them," the brand produces items that are meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, without any compromise, using world-class Japanese-made denim that cannot be replicated by mass production. They offer a wide range of clothing that can be enjoyed as it ages, such as the fading and wear patterns unique to indigo denim. Isetan Men's also began carrying the brand in the Fall/Winter 2016 season. Last year, they attracted attention with their collaboration sneakers with VANS.

This mid-length trench coat, made from indigo-dyed nylon, features a windproof lining. It can be worn in a wide range of seasons by layering it with a denim jacket or wearing an inner down jacket underneath. The shirt, assembled from various materials in a patchwork style, is made from indigo-dyed fabric and carefully sewn with a fine stitch count. As you wear it, the seams will develop a unique patina, and you can enjoy the different textures of each material.

This coverall, featuring patchwork applied to various parts such as the sleeves and shoulders, is a signature item of Fundamental. By using various materials with different textures and placing buttons of different colors, it has been created with a warm and inviting design.

This pop-up store will feature Fundamental's signature coveralls, along with patchwork shirts and pullover shirts made from various materials with different textures, as well as two types of indigo-dyed nylon coats. Each treatment has a purpose, so pay attention to the deep, vintage denim-like look that goes beyond mere design.
