JOSEPH CHEANEY has been making waves in the menswear world without a moment's rest lately.

The Imperial Collection, launched in 2010, incorporates the finest materials and bespoke designs without reservation. This was followed by the 125 Last (commemorating the company's 125th anniversary) in 2011, the 1886 Collection in 2015 (1886 being the year of its founding), the 130 Last in 2016 (commemorating the company's 130th anniversary), and a collection using cordovan leather, which was finally perfected by Clayton, a long-established British tannery famous for its bridle leather. Alongside these developments, the company has also been pursuing plans to expand its stores, and currently operates five directly managed stores in London.
In a conservative industry, it's no exaggeration to say that this is a whirlwind of developments. William, who left Church's along with his family member Jonathan Church and acquired JOSEPH CHEANEY , says:

"These past eight years have been a time of sorting out and reconstructing traditions. JOSEPH CHEANEY , who was a baby, has gone through the kids stage and become a teenager."
With the groundwork mostly in place, the next move was a 1 of 1: JOSEPH CHEANEY 's first ever made-to-order service. It was unveiled at the flagship store on Jermyn Street last December, and is planned to be gradually expanded in the future. It was also held at Isetan a little while ago, generating a lot of buzz.
The days when they were called Church's younger brother are long gone.
