Mother's Day in Danish is called "Mors dag," and in Denmark, people cook meals for their mothers, and fathers take their children to the flower shop to buy their mothers their favorite flowers. In Japan, Mother's Day is mainly about giving flowers, but in Denmark, many people do "special things" in addition to giving flowers.

My mother wasn't particularly strict, but she always put her family first. She would say things like, "I don't know what you think, but this is what I think," encouraging me to think for myself. She gave me all sorts of advice, and now that I'm an adult, I realize that almost everything she said was right.
